For Home School Families

The Bridge program is designed for children who are currently being homeschooled and either a) would benefit from additional peer interaction and alternate perspectives on their learning; or b) are planning to transition into a traditional school setting, either public or private.

For additional stimulation and interaction: While a traditional school setting may not be right for your child, you might still want to provide some of the social learning and stimulation that the interaction with other children outside of parental supervision provides. When children are being homeschooled, the Bridges program can provide some of the benefits of peer interaction and collaborative problem solving that occur in a traditional school setting.

For families looking to transition their children into a public or private school setting: The program at GLC was designed to straddle the self-directed, individualized learning that homeschooling provides as well as the structured, classroom setting that a traditional school provides. The Bridge program can be a stepping stone in that direction, giving your child the opportunity to experience and master some of the group dynamics that a school setting brings.
