Acting to Change the World

Will your child make the world a better place? Does your child know how?

Every day your child interacts with friends, neighbors, coaches, and teachers, and has the chance to have a positive impact on everyone around them.

We are offering a developmentally appropriate, socially conscious improvisation theatre experience at GLC. It is a venue for enhancing the middle school child’s acting and leadership skills so she or he can navigate life as the driver rather than the passenger. This skill set can change the way kids respond to bullying, the way they respond to the challenges of adolescence, and the way they live their lives.

If you are looking for a summer activity,  “Acting to Change the World” is  a week-long immersion experience in participatory theater learning that fosters democratic and cooperative forms of interaction among participants.

Every day will include games, warm-up, writing a scene, and acting and improvising to evolve the scene. There will be a break in the middle, and kids are welcome to bring a snack.
